 Marina Lewycka
Born in a refugee camp in Germany after the Second World War, Lewycka then moved to England which she continues to live. Her debut novel, A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian, won numerous awards and was nominated for others, including the 2005 Man Booker Prize. Her second novel followed in 2007, Two Caravans. She now works as a lecturer in media studies at Sheffield Hallam University.
